A brief video with interview:
Created in Arts/Industry, a residency program of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center that takes place at Kohler Co.
I have been invited to participate in an Artist-Invite-Artist Residency at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. I'll be in residence during Session V: July 31 - August 12 for Alone Together
With Frederick Bartolovic, Kimberly Greene, Lauren Herzak-Bauman, Jill Foote-Hutton, Casey McDonough and Blake Williams. |
Ahhhh........I'm so happy to announce that..........
Something I've wanted to do for a long long time has finally come to fruition. I just had the great honor of working as a John Michael Kohler Art Center Arts/Industry Artist-in-Residence at Kohler Co. in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I was there for nearly three months and had an incredible experience. Images of completed work will be posted soon under the portfolios section.

My Narwhals are up!!!
Yes Siree & Ma'am! My first formal public art work is installed in Washington D.C. on the corner of North Carolina and 2nd SW. To the left is my proposal image as I have not actually been to the site yet to document the piece. It will be there for a minimum of five years, so please send me photos if you go.
Here's the website, which is still in the process of being developed, for the whole project of which I am one of about twenty artists: This Place Has A Voice

YEEHAW!!!
Going to NCECA soon and this is why:
My Co-Curator, Collaborator and friend, Jill Foote-Hutton, and I have been working on a project for over a year. First, we developed an exhibition concept, brainstormed artists to include, then wrote a formal proposal, and submitted it to several places. We were rewarded with getting an exhibition at the 2014 NCECA conference that will be held at the end of March in Milwaukee (it's a big deal clay thing: http://nceca.net/static/conference_home.php). In addition, another gallery selected our proposal for their May slot in San Antonio. So, I think we have a good thing going and others seem to agree, hopefully you will too.
I invite you to learn more about the project by visiting this webpage: http://www.hatchfund.org/project/within_the_menagerie. If it is a project you find interesting I hope you would consider supporting it through a financial contribution. Beyond just feeling good, one benefit to you is that all contributions are tax-deductible, plus we have several incentives/perks for all levels of donations beginning with $5. I would be happy to discuss the project with you if you want more information.

Krampus. Yeti. Frost Giants. The winter season has its own unique blend of cold-weather monsters. This year for our December group show, we invited artists to submit their own interpretations of the Monstrous Icons of Winter, and their collections and environments. Happily, the collected works have as much warmed our hearts as chilled our bones.
Paintings, drawings, assemblages and more by over 30 of your favorite KMOCA artists.
